Our all-season family resort is located 15 km north of Elliot Lake. We have everything you are looking for in a northern family vacation: cozy rooms, cabin rentals, trailer sites, ice-fishing cabins, kayaks, canoes, paddle boards and boats.

Have fun hiking, fishing, canoeing and swimming during the warmer months; and when the snow flies, explore our neighbouring trails by snowmobile and cross-country skis. Outdoor enthusiasts’ favourites also include ice-fishing and exploring by ATV or snowmobile.

We are surrounded by more than 150 km (95 miles) of groomed hiking, ATV and snowmobile trails that loop all through this beautiful northern wilderness, surrounded by over 1,000 lakes and hundreds of miles of wilderness and portage trails. Our hotel provides beautiful, cozy waterfront cabins and trailers and a breathtaking view of Dunlop Lake.

About Us

Randy and Max Neill, father and son, have teamed up to develop Dunlop Lake Lodge into a notable destination for both locals and visitors alike. With the love of nature as common ground, the two aim to make their guests “feel at home” with a personal touch of a pleasant atmosphere, a magnificent view of Dunlop Lake, good food and drink, a cozy fire, and outdoor activities.

Dunlop Lake Lodge was first built in 1919 on an island on Dunlop Lake.  The lodge operated until 1981 when a new lakefront lodge was built on the mainland on twelve acres along the shore of the lake. The main lodge has twelve rooms as well as a rental cabin, several rental trailer properties and summer rental pull-in/out sites.  Its over one-hundred-year history has made it a well-known landmark to everyone who lives in and visits the area.

Dunlop Lake Lodge overlooks glorious Dunlop Lake and operates year-round. The rustic yet cozy restaurant/bar offers a wood burning fireplace, roadhouse type food (including the infamous Dunlop Burger and traditional Tuesday night fish fry), with Red Seal chef prepared daily specials and, newly featured pool tables and big-screen TVs.  Available at the waterfront are boat, canoe and kayak rentals during the spring/summer/fall and fishing hut rentals for winter.  The northern loop snowmobile/ATV trail runs right into the Lodge parking lot, making Dunlop Lake Lodge a popular stop along the route for good food and lodging.  Additionally the Lodge offers space for enjoying special occasions such as weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, celebrations and meetings.  The dining room is open year round, seven days per week to the public.  Breakfast is available to over-night guests, with lunch and dinner service to the public.  Planned entertainment includes: local bands, Open Mic night, Karaoke, line dancing, euchre, bingo etc.
